Update on Dad and this week…

Published by Ben under General

So my Dad is almost out of the woods. So far NO cancer at all! Our prayers have been answered and the Lord shall be praised because he has been so good to us!

This week was youth music arts camp and I taught the worship track. I had 6 girl vocalist, bass, guitar, and a 12 year old drummer who was awesome! I mainly did familiar worship songs that were to tell the truth dated in a way. We ended the week yesterday with one of the most powerful worship experiences. We stripped it all away and it was just me and a grand piano and 6 girls singing there heart out. We did two of my most favorite songs The Heart of Worship and Breathe. Another highlight was Lee McDerment speaking on Thursday. I have always looked up to Lee in so many ways because he loves Jesus so much and amazing at what he does.

So anyway camp was a lot of fun but last night was hilarious. We decided to rearrange the apartment. Evan and I now have our computers in the living room freeing up a lot of space for us in our bedrooms. We cleaned some and washed dishes. Then we all headed to the store to buy some sodas and Harry Potter. That’s right Matt got a copy of the book from the grocery store. So all you crazy people that waited in line… guess what… we didn’t!

Lord, what are you doing?

Published by Ben under Prayers

Lord, what are you doing?
My thoughts are so scattered.
My heart is pulled in 7 directions.
I will lift my eyes to you my maker.
YOU created the mountains and the seas.
I will lift my eyes upon your beauty as the one and only thing that is HOPE.
I will fully trust that if I seek you with every ounce of energy I have that you will do what you have promised you would.

I believe that you are a healer.
I believe that you are messiah.
I believe that you are wonderful consoler.
I believe that you will do what I ask.

Your kingdom cannot be shaken. You will prevail. You will come to the needs of those who need it.

Lord, I, need it.
